Public Speaking Competition

The Floor is Yours
the 2023 Soroptimist International Western Australia Public Speaking Competition.
The competition is open to any women currently enrolled at a tertiary institution in Western Australia. Competitors are required to present a 4-6 minute speech on a selected topic related to the empowerment and enablement of women and girls. Heats will be held at metropolitan campuses during April and May with the winner of each heat receiving a prize of $250. The grand final will be held on 21 May 2023 where the heat winners will compete for a prize of $500.

20 April – Edith Cowan University (applications close 5.00 pm, 15 April)
1 May – University of Western Australia (applications close 5.00 pm, 27 April)
4 May – Murdoch University (applications close 5.00 pm, 1 May)
9 May – Curtin University (applications close 5.00 pm, 6 May)
11 May – Notre Dame University (applications close 5.00 pm, 8 May)
16 May – North & South Metropolitan TAFE (applications close 5.00 pm, 9 May)
