Public Speaking Competition

The Floor is Yours
the 2024 Soroptimist International Western Australia Public Speaking Competition.
The competition is open to any women currently enrolled at a tertiary institution in Western Australia. Competitors are required to present a 4-6 minute speech on a selected topic related to the empowerment and enablement of women and girls. Heats will be held at metropolitan campuses during April and May with the winner of each heat receiving a prize of $500. The grand final will be held on 26 May 2024 where the heat winners will compete for a prize of $1,000.

2 May – ECU, Moot Court, Joondalup Library Building (applications close 5.00pm, 25 April)
15 May – Notre Dame University, Santa Maria Lecture Theatre ND1/102 (applications close 5.00pm, 8 May)
16 May – TAFE, North Metropolitan TAFE Library (applications close 5.00pm, 9 May)
