Our Region

Welcome to the heart of this website in terms of prescriptive information related to our region of Western Australia.

Soroptimist International of Perth was the first club established in Western Australia in 1949 and has clubrooms in West Perth. With the formation of a club in Fremantle in 1953 the Region of Western Australia was established. Over the years new clubs have continued to be formed, or expanded, throughout the state with the latest being Cambridge and South Perth in 1998.

Western Australian clubs identify and support local community projects as well as national and international programs. SIWA has a number of ongoing region projects including maintaining a position as a major sponsor of the annual Asthma Foundation of WA's  "Triple E Challenge" Day Camps asthma education for children.
The Stella Giles Award for Excellence is awarded annually to a woman representing a worthwhile community project.
Camaraderie between clubs is experienced at annual events for SI Week, Friendship Day and various other times throughout the year. In addition, many friendships develop across clubs and across the world.

Soroptimist International Western Australia is made up of the following clubs:

NEW CLUB: A new club is currently being formed in the Dianella/ Mt Lawley/ Maylands/ Inglewood area.
