Project SIerra will actively contribute to the UN Millennium Development Goals. Each child and family’s needs are individually assessed and access to food, education and healthcare are provided accordingly.
Project Independence -Women Survivors of War in partnership with Women for Women International Through Project Independence: Women Survivors of War, Soroptimist International and Women for Women International are combining the forces of thousands of individual women to support women survivors of war in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Rwanda. Over the next four years, Project Independence will raise at least $1.2 million to provide nearly 2,000 women with the skills they need to rebuild their lives after war.
Soroptimist International President's Appeal 2007- 2008 In 2007, International President Margaret Lobo chose Restoring Dignity in partnership with Hamlin Fistula Relief and Aid Fund. This project aims to support the work of the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia to cure for women suffering from fistula injuries as a result of poor childbirth management. 2006-2007 In 2006, International President Lynn Dunning chose Project Punjab in partnership with Oxfam. This project aims to increase girls' attendance at school and to improve the quality of education in rural, impoverished areas of Punjab Province in Pakistan. 2005 - 2006 Soroptimists Roll Back Malaria (view PowerPoint) This year Soroptimist International is partnering with the World Health Organisation. The aim is to protect pregnant women and children living in the community of Ze, in Benin, Africa against the scourge of malaria.
2004 - Dust of life? Soroptimist International is partnering with Children of Peace International to restore life to the young women and children living in the Ho Chi Minh Youth Shelter.
2003 - The Dignity Program Project for the People of Paraquay (PPP)
